The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry has signed an MoU with renowned singer Mr. Abrar Ul Haq and Chairman Youth Parliament of Pakistan for the promotion of youth developmental activities in Rawalpindi city. The main clauses of MoU are as under:-
o To provide access to young people to need-based technical and vocational training in Rawalpindi district ;
o To conduct a comprehensive Situation Analysis (SA) and Training Needs Assessment (TNA) in Rawalpindi district by understanding the paucity of authentic data on subjects of relevance to youth employability;
o To develop training manuals based on the findings of Training Needs Assessment (TNA);
o To promote general awareness and understanding employability skills amongst the youth of Rawalpindi district;
o To initiate an outreach program to identify and register young people in rural communities of Rawalpindi for technical and vocational education and training;
o To establish a permanent job placement cell within Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate linkages between the trained young people and members of RCCI;
o To develop a pool of trainers to provide technical and vocational training to identified/registered young people.
o To strengthen work of youth-focused and youth-led interventions for promotion of youth entrepreneurship in Rawalpindi district;
o To encourage and support Public Private Partnership for promotion and support for youth business models in Rawalpindi district;
o To establish youth incubators within Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide initial support and mentorship to competent and skilled youth entrepreneurs in various sectors.
o To jointly explore possibilities of providing monetary and technical support to youth-led developmental projects at community level within Rawalpindi district.
