In recent years, the world has been globalizing at an unprecedented pace, and the international movement of people, funds, goods, and services has grown more active. The business scene has been changing rapidly and dramatically with the globalization of the economy it is important to build a free and vital economy in which individual companies can fully demonstrate their unique strengths with mobility and a spirit of inquiry amidst today’s rapidly changing world.
The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is the oldest chamber of Pakistan established in 1952 and recognized by the Government of Pakistan in 1959. The RCCI has played extremely vital role in the development of commercial, Industrial and Economic activities in its territorial jurisdiction. The Chamber is affiliated with the federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry at the national level, which it’s self is the member of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
RCCI facilitates a variety of services to the members as well as business and industrial community of the region. A fortnightly commercial News Bulletin is distributed among all members free of charge, which contains following:
• All important developments and first hand information concerning the trade, industry and economy.
• It contains the information for foreign trade opportunities on Export and Import,
fairs & exhibitions, Seminars and Training Courses.
• It includes Government rules and regulations on all aspects of trade and industry
and other related matter for the guidance of business and industrial community.
The Chamber is engaged in quite diverse activities for the promotion of foreign trade in the country. RCCI ensures it by holding meeting with foreign trade delegations. These meetings have played vital role in expanding trade and economic relations of the business and industrial community of this area.
Chamber also deals the cases to achieve an amicable settlement on disputes arising out of commercial transactions between parties. Subject to the Power and within the framework of the Chamber’s Constitution if parties are willing or agreed to abide by the judgment and decision of the arbitration committee of Chamber.
